Tenuta Sette Ponti
Tenuta Sette Ponti has been a cherished estate of the Moretti Cuseri family since the 1950s, when Alberto Moretti Cuseri acquired it from the Princesses of Savoy-Aosta. This region gained prominence in 1716 when Grand Duke Cosimo III de' Medici recognized it as one of Tuscany's top four wine-producing areas. With a deep passion for viticulture, Tenuta Sette Ponti has established itself as a producer of prestigious wines known worldwide. The estate spans 330 hectares, with 60 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The name “Sette Ponti” translates to “Seven Bridges,” referencing the seven bridges over the Arno River connecting Florence and Arezzo. Among these, the Ponte Buriano, built between 1240 and 1277, is famously featured in Leonardo da Vinci's masterpieces, the Mona Lisa and the Madonna of the Yard.
The Vineyards and Winery
Covering 330 hectares, Tenuta Sette Ponti boasts a diverse range of grape varieties. The estate primarily cultivates Sangiovese, alongside international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, as well as traditional grapes like Trebbiano. The soil composition varies from sandy to clayey, enriched with the region's characteristic limestone. The vineyards thrive at altitudes between 200 and 300 meters, benefiting from optimal growing conditions. The winery employs advanced technology to ensure exceptional quality in every bottle. A skilled team of technicians and consultants work together to craft wines that reflect the unique terroir of this remarkable estate.
