The winery of the Union Vinicola Del Este, S.L in Utiel – Requena, Spain was established in 2007 with the sole purpose of producing only the highest quality Spanish wines. In order to achieve this, the Union Vinicola Del Este winery has always committed to using only the latest technologies to make its Cavas. The Requena region can be found towards the interior of the Valencia Province, about 70 km from the Mediterranean Sea where the altitude ranges from 700 to 900 meters above sea level.

A long winemaking tradition

Wine making in the region of Requena in Spain goes back more than 2000 years ago during the first cultivation of vines and consumption of wines during the Iberian ear. This took place as far back as the 7th century BC and is evidence that wine making in this area has stood the test of time. Although this area is classified as Mediterranean, it does have some continental features because of the altitude and the distance from the sea. This area is different from other Valencian territories because the winters are cold and long, while summers are short, hot and dry with cool nights. This is also influenced by the Levante wind, which blows from the afternoon until late into the night.

This continental and Mediterranean climate as well as wild soils and the expertise of the Union Vinicola Del Este, S.L wine makers has resulted in the production of the highest quality white grapes with complex aromas that embody the essence of the Valencian people
