The history of Pelvillain vineyards dates back to the 19th century and its vineyard stretched across 52 hectares of land. The estate took over the vineyards Château de Cénac and Château du Port, and in 2013, the area expanded with the takeover of Le Domaine du Théron.
Vignobles Pelvillain and Diversity of Terroir
Château de Cénac is located at 240 meters above sea level on a clay-limestone plateau where the soil consists of brown clay and ferruginous stones. Château du Port lies opposite the village of Albas, surrounded by the vineyard consisting of clays, quartz pebbles, and granitic rocks. Domaine du Théron has limestone, clay, iron oxide and gravel terroir, which ensures excellent drainage. The wine cellar of the Théron is quite modern and This offers breathtaking views of the village of Prayssac and the surrounding valley.
