A Legacy of Winemaking in Baden Since 1792
History of Weingut H.Steinle
Weingut H.Steinle is nestled in the picturesque Markgräflerland region, renowned for its rich tradition of wine and fruit cultivation. Our family has been dedicated to viticulture since 1792, a legacy marked by the Küfer coat of arms still visible on our historic farm building. In 1886, Hermann Steinle transformed the estate into its current form, establishing the wine cellar and spacious outbuildings that define our winery today. While agriculture was once the primary focus, we have since shifted our attention to the art of winemaking.
Weingut H.Steinle Today
Now, five generations later, Annette Seywald leads the family business with a deep passion for winemaking. This role is not just a profession; it embodies a commitment to quality and sustainability. Our wines reflect a blend of experience and tradition, crafted with respect for nature. Each year presents new challenges in vineyard management, emphasizing the delicate balance between the vine, the land, and the environment.
Vinification at Weingut H.Steinle
During harvest, we meticulously press our grapes, allowing the musts to undergo controlled fermentation with natural sedimentation. Our vinification process emphasizes careful handling and an extended maturation period on fine yeast. This approach results in fully fermented, vibrant wines that showcase their authentic character and freshness.
