Weingut Fritz Waßmer is a German winery situated in the beautiful Baden region of Germany. The winery is the brainchild of the extraordinary Fritz Waßmer who is a self-taught artist who through his passion and dedication has positioned himself as one of the top winegrowers in Baden, particularly for his internationally acclaimed Pinot Noir. Fritz Waßmer established the Weingut Fritz Waßmer in 1998 and has become well known and respected for its independent, profound and finesse rich wines.
The winery is dedicated and committed to the cultivation of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. The wine makers at the team at Weingut Fritz Waßmer are focussed on achieving perfection in every bottle of wine that they produce. In doing so, there is a clear focus on the unique characteristics of each soil layer and microclimate condition.
The Aim of the Winery
The aim is to preserve these characteristics in order to create individual wines of outstanding quality. The vines of the Weingut Fritz Waßmer are located in various locations including the Bombach Summer Dump, the Red Mountain Kenzingen, the Kaiserberg Herzbolzheum, the Schlossberg Staufen and the Scholssberg Achkarren. The wines of the estate are available in a number of different ranges including the Estate Wines, the Premium Wines, the Layered Wines, the Sparkling Wines an SECCOs and Noble Sweet Wines.
The most popular of these wines are the Fritz Waßmer Pinot in White, the Fritz Waßmer Rivaner, the Fritz Waßmer Gutedel and the Fritz Waßmer White Burgundy.
