For generations, the De Fazio family has been dedicated to grape growing and winemaking. Their roots trace back to Castagna, a quaint village in Carlopoli, southern Italy, known for its rich viniculture and flavorful wines. The Vineyard: A Unique Terroir

Located in Greenock, the De Fazio Vineyard produces exceptional single-vineyard wines under the Zitta and De Fazio labels. This 100% Australian-owned vineyard sits on gentle hills, with its highest point reaching 307 meters (1,007 feet) above sea level. The region experiences diverse ripening conditions, with summer temperatures fluctuating from 35°C during the day to 8°C at night (95°F - 46.4°F). These unique conditions contribute to the special qualities of the grapes, which are highly valued by Barossan winemakers. The cooling gully winds in the late afternoon and early morning further enhance the growing environment, allowing the vines to thrive in harmony with nature.
