Company and Territory

In the middle of the Ragusa Baroque, in Vittoria, on the road that leads from Roccazzo to the ancient Biscari now Acate, after years of oblivion the period Villa which is now the corporate headquarters of Tenuta Santo Spirito can be seen again accompanied by an avenue of cypresses.

The project of a young Sicilian family was therefore realized which returned to the territory an ancient wine-growing estate, as evidenced by the early 20th century manuscript represented here. From this land kissed by the sun and caressed by the wind, the grapes of Tenuta Santo Spirito today take on new life and are colored red with aMarAnto, Chiarestelle and Le Bacche Nere, and white, with RoVi and Le Lune. Our wines are born from the skilful cultivation of exclusively native vines such as Frappato and Nero d'Avola, planted with long roots and grafted in the field as they once did to guarantee the natural strength of the vine plant.

The company has been organically managed since its inception and received the certification in 2017 and since 2022 has completed the long journey of the "ViVa" project, the Certification of Sustainability in Viticulture, issued by the Ministry of the Environment, a path aimed at pursuing environmentally friendly, socially fair and economically effective development.

Tenuta Santo Spirito today has a production of around 20,000 bottles per year, what we believe to be the right size of our company to maintain the closest contact with the cultivation and the territory, a period villa recovered and now under the protection of Superintendency of Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Ragusa, an ancient cellar where our wines are refined, a citrus grove and an olive grove surrounded by cypress avenues where you can take long walks to appreciate the wonders of Nature.

WINEFARM AND TERRITORY

In the midst of Ragusa's Baroque, in Vittoria, on the road that leads from Roccazzo to the ancient Biscari, now Acate, after years of oblivion, the period villa that is now the company headquarters of Tenuta Santo Spirito can be seen again, accompanied by an avenue of cypress trees.

Thus, the project of a young Sicilian family has been realised, giving back to the territory a property with an ancient wine-growing vocation, as demonstrated by the early 20th-century manuscript accompanying the property.

From this land kissed by the sun and caressed by the wind, the grapes of Tenuta Santo Spirito now take on new life and are colored red with a MarAnto, Chiarestelle and Le Bacche Nere, and white with RoVi and Le Lune.

Our wines are born from the skillful cultivation of exclusively indigenous vines such as Frappato and Nero d'Avola, planted with long roots and grafted in the field as was once done to ensure the natural strength
of the vine plant.

The company has been organically managed since its establishment and received a certification in 2017.

It also takes part in the 'SOStain' project, the sustainability program for Sicilian viticulture developed with the Ministry of the Environment, a path aimed at pursuing environmentally friendly, socially equitable and economically efficient development. In 2022 we finally completed the long journey of the "ViVa" project, the Certification of Sustainability in Viticulture, a further testimony to great care and love for the resources of Mother Nature and long-term vision to protect our beautiful territory. Tenuta Santo Spirito now has a production of about 20,000 bottles per year, which we believe to be the right size of our Company to maintain the liveliest contact with the cultivation, an ancient Villa recovered and now under the protection of Raguse Cultural supervisory, an antique cellar where our wines complete their refinement, an orange field and an olive oil field surrounded by cypresses boulevard where you can take pleasure in your long walks.
