Da medico a enologo

La nostra storia inizia nel XIX secolo quando un medico genovese acquistò un terreno ad Altavilla, una collina vicino ad Alba. Decise di costruire una cascina e la chiamò “Piccaluga” che in dialetto genovese significa “Prendi l'uva”.
L'azienda agli inizi del '900 Carlo Albellonio, nipote di Roberto, acquistò una parte del casale e iniziò a lavorare i terreni. Allevò bestiame e piantò le prime viti. Nel tempo l'azienda agricola si ingrandisce e si aggiungono altri terreni a Santo Stefano Belbo e Barbaresco. Carlo è diventato famoso per la qualità delle uve che coltivava e del vino che produceva.
Oggi coltiviamo 10 ettari di vigneto. L'azienda agricola è gestita e gestita da Roberto e Jessica Abellonio. Coltivano la storica terra di famiglia utilizzando tecniche moderne nel rispetto della tradizione.

L'azienda vinicola Roberto Abellonio fa parte di un progetto EcoCloud, i cui obiettivi sono mantenere alta la qualità della produzione di uva lavorando e mantenendo un ambiente sostenibile. Stiamo limitando le emissioni, promuovendo l’energia verde, i fertilizzanti organici naturali e molto altro ancora.

We visited the winery with a group of friends. The view is stunning, and Jessica, very knowledgeable, guided us through the vineyards and into the winery with captivating and super informative explanations. The tasting plus was excellent, with six wines paired with small tastings typical of the Langhe. A beautiful experience!
