Agriverde, Organic Farming in the Abruzzo Region
Using organic farming practices in the vineyards, the Agriverde Winery is located in Villa Caldari, in Ortona, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is a certified organic winery and was chosen by team Ferrari to toast the victory during the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The unique wine of Agriverde – Plateo is among the top 50 wines in the world.
The Winery Provides Unique Architecture in Respect to Nature
Dotted by the picturesque landscapes, the cellar of the winery is constructed keeping in mind the principles of bio-architecture. With complete respect for nature, the owner has used wood, steel, and glass to establish the cellar and has used eco-friendly paints and glues. Electrical systems are protected against magnetic fields. The cellar consists of a large underground room, outfitted with air conditioners, to provide a controlled and efficient atmosphere for resting and aging of wines in barriques and tonneaux. Agriverde Winery uses organic methods to cultivate a vast range of high quality grapes. Some of the high-quality vines they grow are Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Cerasuolo, and Pecorino. The owner also plants fruity Passerina, Cococciola, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay within the Abruzzo DOC and IGP regions. During harvesting, they only use manual methods of grape picking to select the more accurate bunch to produce rich-quality red, white, and rose wines, together with top-class dessert and sparkling wines.
Indulge your Taste Buds in the Restaurant of Agriverde
The Agriverde Winery also houses a large restaurant – The Villa Fania Restaurant, located within the cellar. The restaurant is open to organize events and parties, such as anniversary, birthdays, wedding, and so much more.
