Masciarelli Tenute Agricole was founded in 1981 from the entrepreneurial vision of Gianni Masciarelli , a symbol of the Italian wine scene and a key figure in the emergence of modern Abruzzo viticulture. The winery's beating heart is in San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti, and boasts estate-owned vineyards and olive groves in the four provinces of Abruzzo .

The wine production – which is also accompanied by a small production of extra virgin olive oil – today includes 22 labels and 7 product lines: Villa Gemma , Iskra , Marina Cvetic , Castello di Semivicoli , Gianni Masciarelli ,Linea Classica and La Botte di Gianni .

In a spirit of constant and renewed work in the name of innovation but with respect for the environment and tradition, the Masciarelli company has inaugurated, after a lengthy conservative restoration, the Castello di Semivicoli , a 17th-century baronial palace now a charming relais among the vineyards, a driving force of wine tourism in the area.

Very nice place with wonderful view, friendly staff and good wines. The downside is that there is no restaurant in the hotel, you need a car to eat.

A cozy place, a tranquil area to relax! The hotel preserves much of its past as a castle; it's worth a visit and a stay... ask about the room called "monastery"... it's a nice touch!

An absolute highlight near Chieti. If you're lucky enough, like we were, to enjoy a soirée with live music during dinner, even better! It was fantastic. Everyone was incredibly kind and competent. The room was also a highlight, considering you're staying in a 17th-century castle. The pool is lovely, set in a beautiful garden. And the wonderful wine tasting we had with sommelier Pietro was brilliant. Tante grazie a tutti!

Only 10 rooms, but all are very special. A wonderful blend of 17th-century charm and cutting-edge modern amenities. Completely peaceful location with beautiful views. Excellent cuisine and very attentive staff. A magnificent pool with a bar and lifeguard. And of course, they serve the best wines of Abruzzo!

A wonderful experience at Castello Semivicoli. Surrounded by vineyards and lush vegetation, it's a haven for the soul and heart. Charming room with views of the garden and vineyards. Fabulous pool and superb bar service. Spectacular dinner in one of the castle's halls with wine pairings. Hearty breakfast with homemade pastries and an exquisite selection of local charcuterie and cheeses. Kudos to all the staff. Incredible wines. We highly recommend a complete experience like ours.

A wonderful experience, which included dinner and stargazing with an astrophysics expert. From the food to the service and the wine selection, everything made the evening truly special. We had been there before for a wine tasting and a yoga session.

Wow, so nice place. Staff was great especially the guy that takes care of the garden - a real hero, got a tour and story of the castle and garden that I will never forget. What makes it a 4/5 is the chef - dinner was not that good I’m sorry to say. Everything else 5/5! Magic place!
