BUZZARONE; family nickname. The winery was born in 2019; young and fresh like Riccardo, promoter of the homonymous company in which he grew up, who has challenged and realized the family dream by starting to make the land he owns flourish, a gift from his grandfather Agostino, his source of inspiration.
The land located on the hills of Castelferrato, in the province of Chieti, extends as a balcony between the Adriatic & the Majella; there, kissed by the sun and nourished by the waters of the lake, Mother Nature (with our collaboration) makes the grapes radiant and succulent, an excellent raw material for an excellent wine.

Write a reviewThis place is a hidden gem. We came to this place on a whim on our way from Bari to Pescara. When we arrived we weren't quite sure we were at the right place but the owner Ricardo came over and introduced himself and showed us over to the little tasting area they had. He graciously explained their different wines and generously provided us with some cheese and bread to taste his wines and olive oil with free of charge. We enjoyed both white wines we tasted and the olive oil and bought a bottle of all three (very afforadable pricing). I highly recommend their products you will not be dissapointed.

Riccardo is very kind, listening to him talk about his work is a pleasure, he is passionate and this passion is contagious. We bought the Trebbiano wine and also the 13th, very good. But the 13th took me on a journey of aromas and flavours, each drink I tried at home gave me a different signal and in the end I found its essence together with the memory of my favourite place.

We were there as campers and did a wine tasting. Gabriela explained everything to us in English with a lot of love and dedication and answered many questions. We can really recommend a wine tasting to everyone. The next day, thanks to the right timing, we were able to watch the grape harvest and part of the processing. All family members and employees are involved here. Riccardo is in the middle of it with great passion. It was very exciting and interesting to watch. We wish the Buzzarone team all the best. Keep up the good work, it was really great!
