Experience the Charm of a Family-Owned Tuscan Winery
Allegretti: A Legacy of Quality
Allegretti Winery, now in its fifth generation of family ownership, is a testament to the art of organic winemaking. Since 2007, the winery has embraced sustainable practices, focusing on environmentally friendly techniques. Known for its exceptional Santo del Chianti, Allegretti produces wines using traditional methods that emphasize long aging and high quality.
Vineyard Varieties
The vineyard's unique soil and climate create ideal conditions for classic grape varieties. Allegretti cultivates Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, and Malvasia, with Sangiovese being the star of their Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG. To enhance their offerings, they have recently introduced Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which form the basis of their wine “L’uzzolo.” The winery prioritizes natural fertilization methods, primarily using copper and sulfur, and undergoes regular inspections by certified control companies to ensure quality.
Olive Oil Excellence
In addition to wine, Allegretti boasts three hectares of olive groves, where olives are hand-picked and cold-pressed. The Frantoio, Leccino, and Moraiolo varieties produce exquisite extra virgin olive oil, which is decanted in traditional terracotta jars before bottling or bulk sales. Like their wine production, olive cultivation adheres to natural fertilization practices and is subject to thorough inspections.
