Every Grape Kissed by the Air From the Ligurian Sea
The Il Poggio di Gavi includes a beautiful farmhouse and vineyards that have been transformed into a beautiful wine estate in the hills of Gavi, which breathe the air coming from the nearby Ligurian Sea. The owner, Francesca, runs the winery along with the help of her husband Angelo, who looks after the vineyards, her daughter Giorgia, who works in the cellar, and her sister Alessandra, who helps in the functioning of their resort. The team works hard together to make the best wines for their customers and organize an exciting wine tasting session for the visitors to the estate.
Elite Level Winemaking at Il Poggio Di Gavi
The estate is located in Piedmont, near the Ligurian Sea. All the factors like soil, microclimate, sunlight exposure, grape types, pruning, cloning, etc. here are ideal here for the growth and cultivation of vines and attaining high-quality, fruity grapes. The use of manual techniques, natural processes, renewable energy resources, and advanced equipment allow elite-level winemaking. Monferrato Rosso, Monferrato Dolcetto, and Gavi are the main grapes grown here and used to make red, white, and sparkling wines.
Efforts to Conserve the Soil and Biodiversity
In addition to top-quality winemaking, the winery also makes efforts to preserve the natural environment and the health of their vines. Adopting sustainable winemaking was vital to the company. There is no use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides in the vineyards or the cellar. A photovoltaic system helps to generate energy for winemaking and reduces the effect on the environment. Visitors are welcome here for wine tourism and embrace the natural beauty of the place.
