Azienda Agricola Mauro Vini, Taste Rare Nebbiolo di Dronero
Mauro Vini is located at the entrance of the Valle Maira in the southwest of Piedmont in the Cuneo Province. The extensive vineyards of the winery, located between Villar S. Costanzo and Dronero, cover ten hectares of land. At Azienda Agricola Mauro Vini, it is possible to taste the wine Nebbiolo the Dronero from a vine cultivated back in the year 1300.
A Winery for Five Generations
Originally, in 1895, Vittorio Emanuele found the winery in Roddino d’Alba. Since 1895, Vittorio Emanuele, the father of Osvaldo, worked in this field. Vittorio and his father also used to sell wines in Argentina, from where they had initially emigrated. The activity continued in Dronero since, producing typical Piedmont wines. Later In 1924, Mauro Vini has its headquarters in Dronero. Presently, the fifth generation of the Mauro family, Giuseppe Mauro and his sister Rossana, own the winery. The owners take care of all the production stages, from winemaking to aging and bottling. Mauro Vini follows traditional vinification methods for the production of their rare wines. The owner of Azienda Agricola Mauro Vini cultivates a very rare variety of vine that is known as Nebbiolo di Dronero.
