The Azienda Agricola Oreste Stefano- Winery residing in the hamlet of Perno in the heart of the Barolo Wine Growing Area
The Azienda Agricola Oreste Stefano winery and estate is located in the Municipality of Monforte d’Alban the hamlet of Perno in the heart of the Barolo wine growing area. The story behind the winery begins in 1950 with a young farmer who had a passion for the land and a mission to make great Barolo wine. In 1961 he created the first label and bought the oak barrels to be used for aging.
Following this, in 1967 he won the press competition for fine wines from Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.
From this young farmer the passion and traditions for wine making was passed through many generations and continues to the present day.
Their Cellar
The cellar has since been expanded and new wine making techniques adopted to improve the quality of the already excellent wines will still respecting the teachings of the founder. Only the grapes produced by the Azienda Agricola Oreste Stefano are vinified, ensuring the high quality of the wines and the use of only the very best grapes.
Different Wine Labels
Wine making is a long-standing tradition at Azienda Agricola Oreste Stefano and all of the harvesting at the winery is done manually. The subsequent aging of the grapes takes place inside small and medium sized oak barrels. The wines produced at Azienda Agricola Oreste Stefano are the Barolo DOCG Riserva Perno, the Barolo DOCG Pin, the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo, the Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore, the Dolcetto d”alba DOC and the Langhe DOC Arneis.
