Azienda Vitivinicola “Gaggino” Di Urscheler Roberto is a charming winery nestled in the scenic Nizza hills of the Monferrato region. This area is renowned for its exceptional Barbera grape cultivation, making it a prime location for producing high-quality Barbera wines. The estate is lovingly managed by winemaker Roberto Urscheler and his wife Maura, who oversees marketing efforts. The Gaggino vineyard spans 7 hectares, with 5.5 hectares surrounding their historic home and an additional 1.5 hectares from nearby rented vineyards.

Ideal Terroirs for Exceptional Grapes

The Gaggino vineyards utilize the Gujot method, which involves meticulous manual labor to nurture each vine. From cultivation to grape harvesting, every step is performed by hand to ensure the highest quality grapes. Crafting Quality Wines

Once harvested, the grapes are crushed and pressed for fermentation. Red grapes undergo traditional fermentation with their skins, while white grapes are gently pressed to preserve their delicate aromas. The skins are included during fermentation to extract color and tannins, enhancing the wine's character. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to stainless steel vats for temperature-controlled maturation. The winemaking process concludes with bottling and careful storage in the cellar, ensuring each bottle reflects the quality and tradition of Gaggino wines.
