A Harmonious Blend of Tradition and Innovation in Piedmont
Batasiolo - A Gem in La Morra
Batasiolo Winery, nestled in the picturesque region of La Morra, embodies a rich winemaking tradition that dates back to 1979. Founded by the Dogliani brothers, this winery has transformed an ancient Kiola Winery into a modern facility that produces exceptional wines reflecting the unique character of the Langa vineyards.
The Dogliani family has dedicated over fifty years to preserving the art of winemaking in Piedmont. Their commitment to quality is evident in every bottle, showcasing the essence of the land.
Grape Varieties
Batasiolo is home to nine distinct vineyard plots, where the flagship Nebbiolo grapes thrive. The region's elegant hills, fertile soil, and ideal microclimate create perfect conditions for grape cultivation. In addition to Nebbiolo, the winery also produces Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d’Alba Sovrana, and Dolcetto d’Alba Bricco di Vergne, along with exquisite whites like Moscato d’Asti Bosc dla Rei.
Modern Cellar
The winery's cellar beautifully marries tradition with modern technology. Here, the Dogliani family employs state-of-the-art methods to craft their wines. A dedicated barrel room showcases an impressive collection of 500 wooden barriques and 90 oak barrels, where wines age gracefully, absorbing the rich flavors of the wood.
