Batasiolo -Winery located in the Charming Region of La Morra
An age-old tradition that lives in the heart of Langa, the Batasiolo winery, has its headquarters in the charming region of La Morra, where technology and tradition unites. Facing many challenges, the Dogliani family managed to produce top-quality wines and still making, that express the essence of the vineyards.
The story of Beni di Batasiolo dates back to 1979, when Dogliani brothers purchased an ancient Kiola Winery, along with its seven crus.
Today, the family has preserved the winemaking tradition of half-a-century in the charming Piedmontese territories.
Over the years, the historic winery has undergone many transformations, making the cellar an innovative place. Here, some of the best and prestigious wines are produced, namely red, white, and rose wines, in combination with high-end dessert and sparkling wines.
At present, the Dogliani family owns nine plots, where the flagship Nebbiolo grapes are cultivated with the utmost care and attention. The elegant hills, the fertile soil, and the perfect microclimate make it easy for vines to grow peacefully. Some other grapes grown in the region are Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d’Alba Sovrana, and Dolcetto d’Alba Bricco di Vergne, as well as great whites such as Moscato d’Asti Bosc dla Rei.
In the cellar, a visitor can witness a swarm of tradition and modernity. The winemaking family strives to deliver the best wines, made using state-of-the-art technology. Batasiolo has a dedicated barrel room where barrels and barriques are beautifully placed in line. The wines are aged and refined in these containers, to add the wooden essence.
