Bodega Zolo: Crafting Organic Wines with Care

Located in Agrelo, Bodega Zolo stands out as a leader in organic and sustainable wine production in Argentina. With the capacity to produce two million liters of wine annually, the winery utilizes state-of-the-art steel tanks and has two aging rooms housing around 1,300 barrels.

Modern Technology Meets Tradition

Under the guidance of Fabian Valenzuela, Bodega Zolo employs advanced technology, including vertical and hydropneumatic presses, a bottling line, and ample storage space. Since 2012, Valenzuela has collaborated with renowned winemaker Jean Claude Berrouet, who brings over 40 years of expertise from France. Together, they craft wines that reflect the unique characteristics of their terroir. Bodega Zolo is certified by Global Gap, ensuring its commitment to sustainable and organic winemaking practices.

Eco-Friendly Vineyard Practices

The winery sources grapes from its vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, situated in the Mendoza River Valley at elevations between 800 to 1,000 meters above sea level. Manual harvesting is conducted using eco-friendly methods. The primary grape varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Torrontés, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Viognier. Bodega Zolo's red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines are crafted using organic techniques and aged for eight months in oak barrels. These wines are known for their vibrant fruitiness and ripe tannins. In recognition of its sustainable practices, Bodega Zolo received the Amorim Sustainability Award in 2017 from the DB GREEN Awards and a Gold Medal at The Brit Awards the same year.

Went to the restaurant and was amazing experience. They have a small boutique hotel and a really nice restaurant with magnificent views. The food was really good and the atmosphere was superb. Makes for an entire different experience to be eating surrounded by vineyards and the Andes... wow.

Amei a visitação com tasting of Zolo. This is a different experience, we don't feel like we're feeling great, we taste it in the barrica and tone, the wines are the same as Valentina, but we don't know what we're doing perfectly. Indico a todos.

We chose the Zolo winery to celebrate with the family after our wedding. Valentina gave us an unforgettable experience. We did the classic tasting. 6 wines. The carriage ride is very nice (I already knew it was short so we took advantage to record and take photos) and also to see the llamas. The tour of the winery inside is spectacular. We liked above all the attention to detail such as remembering that we had gotten married and congratulating us and offering to take a photo with the whole family. Thank you very much! We came back with friends and everything was great, the wines were very delicious. On that occasion we could not ride in the horse-drawn carriage because one of the two horses had died :(
