Bodegas Arrocal is a family winery located in Gumiel de Mercado, a village situated in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The winery is owned by Rosa Arroyo and Moisés Calvo, natives to the area who inherited the wine tradition, vines, and the land from their forefathers. Bodegas Arrocal Winery started their wine project in 1999 and in subsequent years have worked with their sons to create a sustainable business with a perfect combination of tradition and technology.

50 Hectares of Vines, 45 Hectares are Dedicated to Cultivating Tempranillo
Bodegas Arrocal Winery make their wines exclusively from their own grapes. They own about 50 hectares of vineyards in which 45 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of Tempranillo, the pride and joy of Ribera del Duero. These plots of land are situated 830 meters above sea level and are ideal for grape growing. The winery also grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Albillo in the remaining plots of land. The viticultural methods at Bodegas Arrocal follow a sustainable model with respect for the environment and intenton to produce the best quality grapes. In turn, Bodegas Arrocal produces amazing wines that are popular in the market. They produce red and rosé wines made either solely with Tempranillo grapes or with a small percentage of other varieties. Most of their wines are certified DO Ribera del Duero.
