Bodegas Antonio Canaveras brings you a young and fresh point of view whilst keeping their wine inheritance of 5 generations strong
Wine Taste That Has Been Inherited
Since 1889, the family has been in the wine making business. The techniques and the family secrets have been passed on with grace and the taste of Bodegas Canaveras Wines has been inherited as well which is why their excellency is beyond words.
Bodegas Antonio Canaveras Take Vineyard and Ecosystem Hand in Hand
The vineyards of the Bodegas Antonio Canaveras are the main heroes of their story. In the region of Castilla – La – Mancha, the winery grows Verdejo, Airen, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. The vines get about 3000 sun hours a year and regular rain and so is the reason for their handsome plumpness and their rich taste. The weather makes the soil fertile and about right for the grapes. The vineyards are surrounded by rivers and hills and inhabited by Iberian wildlife. All cultivations are free from chemical waste or anything that could harm them. The grape vines are 100 % organic.
A winery That is a Breath of Fresh Air
In a family business that has been handed down from males of the family, two females of the new generation take the lead to take this family tradition to new grounds. Respecting their wine knowledge and their inheritance, but also wanting to keep ideas afresh, they bring to you artisan wines, wine in clay jars and organic wine. They are a new generation of oenologists paving their way.
