Bodegas Alcardet, a Family Dedicated to Produce Wines in La Mancha

The Bodegas Alcardet was established as a family winery in 1972 with a dynamic and entrepreneurial character of three families in La Mancha dedicated to producing quality wines. The winery is located in the town of Villanueva de Alcardete, documented since 1575, in the time of Filipe II, as “the town of good wine”. The family winery soon changed to a cooperative that grew so fast that in 1973 it had 250 members and there are 600 members as of today. The winery is has been certified RIA, ISO 14001 IQNET, ISO 14001 ANAB, IFS, Sohiscret Varietal and Organic, Vegan, Ecological and Carbon footprint.

Bodegas Alcardet is also a pioneer in the organic production and cultivation of the vine.

Making of the Renown Wines Of La Mancha

The goal is to consolidate a wine tradition with its own personality. Their complex and modern wines are perfect examples of the combination of traditions and advanced technologies. The winery has become a benchmark for high-quality wines, organic production, viticulture, and producers of 15 native varietals. The wines reflect history, culture, dedication, patience, care, and work in the vineyard and cellar. The cooperative strongly believe that the secret to making great wines starts from the vineyards.

The Vineyards and Winemaking

The journey to making their spectacular wines starts from the ground. The dedicated team of field technicians ensures the quality and characteristics of each variety of vine. The limestone soil and extreme climate of the region challenge viticulture which requires constant effort and dedication to make fruits full of character. Most of the task in the vineyard is done manually including pruning, thinning until the harvest is reached. All these tasks are carried out with precision with an experienced team. An entire process with exceptional winemaking gives a synergetic effect to their wines. The winery has three large ranges called “Sommelier”, “Natura” and “ Sparkling”.
