The history of Bodegas Fuentenarro came into light 90 years ago. Just as a good wine tastes even greater with age, a winery becomes more skilled with time. Bodegas Fuentenarro has 90 years of experience in the art of winemaking. These 90 years were filled with hard work, dedication, wisdom, planting new vineyards, taking good care of the vines, selecting the best varieties of grapes and so on. In 2002, all these experiences, all that passion, and the realization of the dream of their ancestors gave birth to Bodegas Fuentenarro Winery.

Skilled Work That Goes in The Vineyards of The Winery

Bodegas Fuentenarro makes sure that there are absolutely no compromises when it comes to their wines and it starts off with the vineyards; it is where the winemaking begins. The climate of the region has dry and hot summers and long harsh winters with low rainfall. The vineyards are located between 812 meters and 860 meters above sea level. The soil here consists of layers of silty or clay texture. Bodegas Fuentenarro grows Tempranillo here which mature to produce the most rich grapes. The area is recognized as one of the best areas when it comes to adaptation of the Tempranillo variety. All these combine to produce excellent wines.

Best Conditions Are Arranged For Wines in Their Underground Cellars

The cellars of Bodegas Fuentenarro are made sure to have all the resources and technology that any high production and quality oriented winery would have. Except this is not any winery, this is Bodegas Fuentenarro and best conditions are arranged for wines in their underground cellars. The cellars are 8 meteres deep uner the earth. This provides the best natural conditions for the wines in terms of temperature and humidity. Barrels of French and American Oak age their finest wines in these cellars. The temperatures of these cellars are consistent throughout the year assuring you of the finest wines.
