Founded in 1987 by Bernardo Luna and now led by Alejandro Luna, Bodegas Y Viñedo Luna Beberidec is rooted in a family tradition that emphasizes simplicity and quality. The winery spans 70 hectares of picturesque, south-facing slopes characterized by calcareous clay and decomposed slate. Nestled at an altitude of 450-900 meters, the vineyards feature vines aged between 20 and 70 years, showcasing the unique terroir of the region.

Crafting Renowned Wines

In 1998, the winery produced its first signature red wines with the expertise of Mariano Garcia, a respected figure in the wine industry and former consultant for Vega Sicilia. One of their standout creations, El Paixar, is a multi-vineyard wine sourced from various vineyards in Dragonte. Collaborating with local farmers, the winery aims to revive the grape-growing heritage of a mountain village steeped in viticulture traditions. The commitment to quality begins in the vineyards, where every grape is nurtured with care.

The process of crafting exceptional wines starts with the meticulous hand-picking of Mencía and Godello grapes, collected in 18-kilogram boxes. Skilled workers sort through the grapes, ensuring that only the finest, unblemished fruit is selected for winemaking. Each varietal is fermented separately using native yeasts, followed by aging in oak barrels, resulting in wines that reflect the essence of their origins.
