Budeguer Winery, Keeping the Tradition Alive
A beautiful seed of Budeguer Winery was sowed in 2005 by Juan José Budeguer. He bought vineyards in the fertile territory of Maipú and Agrelo and expanded the ancestral business of winemaking. He works with great dedication to keeping the Budeguer Family’s traditions alive and developing the wines of the Mendoza region. Today, Juan and his wife, along with three children – Celia, Luis, and Sebastián, run the winery. Their production line includes award-winning red, white, and rosé wines, as well as excellent sparkling wines.
A Wide Portfolio of Grape Varieties at Budeguer Winery
The terroir has a mix of soil characteristics on which a wide range of grapes are grown, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Some plots in the vineyards cultivate top-quality Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, all contributing towards the production of world-class vintages. The grape cultivation is supported by a well-maintained trellis system and irrigation facilities, giving rise to excellent quality grains. After the ripening season, these berries are manually picked to ensure only the best bunches move to the cellar for fermentation. Budeguer Winery uses French and American oak barrels for adequate maturation and refining.
