Bodega Cámbrico is nestled in the stunning Sierra de Francia National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Salamanca, Spain. This region has a rich winemaking history that dates back to Roman times.

In the 20th century, many vineyards were abandoned due to the challenges of mechanization on the steep, terraced slopes. Since 2000, Cámbrico has revitalized these historic vineyards, cultivating native grape varieties such as Rufete, Aragonés (Tempranillo), Calabrés, and Rufete Blanca, while embracing organic viticulture practices.

Architectural Harmony

Constructed in 2006, our winery is designed to blend seamlessly with the landscape, mimicking the terraced vineyards that surround it. Built from cement, rock, and wood, the structure features large windows that offer breathtaking views of the Sierra de Francia mountains.

Our design prioritizes sustainability, utilizing gravity to move must and wine, eliminating the need for pumps. This energy-efficient building provides excellent insulation throughout the year.

Unique Terroir

The character of our wines is deeply influenced by the native grape varieties we cultivate. Situated at an altitude of 900 meters within a Biosphere Reserve, our old vineyards benefit from exceptional soils, rich biodiversity, and a harmonious blend of Atlantic and Mediterranean climates, all contributing to the unique profiles of our wines.

Organic Philosophy

At Cámbrico, we practice minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the exceptional quality of our grapes to shine. Each vintage is distinct, reflecting the climate and terroir of that year. We do not add any substances, ensuring that no two wines are exactly alike, just as our landscape varies with the seasons.

Our commitment to organic farming ensures that our wines are a true expression of the land.
