The Story Behind Cantina Bignotti

Cantina Bignotti was established in 1997 by Giorgio Bignotti and his two sons, who transformed their father's personal vineyards into a professional winery. The winery operates from historical cellars dating back to the 15th century, located on Monte Grappa Street. In 1998, they produced their first wine, Cultivar Delle Volte, a mountain wine known for its strong personality and connection to the land. The cellars, situated in the village's historic center near the Davine waterfall, were used for all production and aging processes until 2017, when they transitioned to focusing on bottle aging, packaging, and tastings.

Cantina Bignotti: Fenocolo Vineyards

In 2001, the Bignotti family acquired the Fenocolo vineyard, which had been uncultivated for 25 years and largely reforested. This vineyard is ideal for grape production due to its rich winemaking history dating back to the Middle Ages, excellent sun exposure, and mineral-rich soil. The steep slopes, some exceeding 70%, make cultivation challenging but create optimal conditions for high-quality wine. The Bignotti vines stretch along the ancient Volte Street, with the first vineyard next to the family home serving as the foundation for their winemaking endeavors. The additional plots are located on the eastern foothills, in a pristine environment free from pollution.

An unexpected experience, excellent hospitality. A very pleasant walk in the residence that hosts the Bignotti winery. An attention to detail that is associated with the tranquility of a magnificent valley. A classic red in which you can perceive the tradition passed down. A truly unsurpassed classic brut.

Our visit was truly spectacular! The tour, led by the passionate owner, was informative and engaging. We were captivated by the rich history and beauty of the property. The wine and oil tasting experience was equally impressive, with a delightful array of flavors. And to top it all off, the local food was simply divine. We couldn't resist bringing home some of the delicious wine and olive oil that we could purchase on the spot. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. We'll cherish the memories of this wonderful experience. We hope to welcome you to Latvia one day! Grazie mille!

A memorable weekend, thanks to the “short relax” experience that they offer on the website of their B&B La Portineria. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with pleasure and kindness by Nina, who showed us the structure, well cared for in the smallest details. The room is large and luxurious, with a Jacuzzi, a shower with Turkish bath and everything you could need to feel pampered. We had dinner at the Lanzati tavern, where we had the pleasure of tasting the land menu, always included in the Short Relax experience. The next day a rich and delicious breakfast awaited us in the dining room of the B&B. In the late morning, Giorgio conducted the guided tour with passion and dedication, showing us not only the cellar and the wines, but also the various structures, the historic villa, the waterfall, all with a smile and humility, always transmitting passion and love for what is being done and built. If you are looking for quality, passion and desire to do, this is the right place! Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for the fantastic experience.

A charming winery (not only winery, there's also B&B, restaurant and venue for weddings). I admire the family Bignotti for their hard work. You can feel the touch of the family in every detail. I booked the tour only 3 days in advance, but I received the confirmation very fast. We easily agreed on the best time for us. We had a very private tour - just for two of us. The information was presented in a simple, interesting way and we also asked quite a few questions. The property is very beautiful, historical but well maintained. And the products are excellent. Not only the wine, but also olive oil and cosmetics. I highly recommend going on one of the tours, which ends with a wine tasting. We spent fantastic 2 hours.

Yesterday we visited this beautiful winery. We chose route 1 because we had very little time. Even through email contacts in the last few days, they were very attentive and reported any possible inconveniences on the way to the meeting point. The father welcomed us and accompanied us on this visit to the cellar and the associated bed and breakfast. The final tasting was extremely good. They let us taste a white wine and two red wines, accompanied by bread, cheese and cold cuts. Afterwards they offered us a taste of their anniversary wine. Highly recommended visit!!! A family dedicated to hospitality. A trip to the bed and breakfast would also not be bad

Fabulous property surrounded by greenery and with very well-kept vineyards. Paolo is a truly exquisite person, very knowledgeable and helpful. The three wines tasted were excellent and accompanied by very good cold cuts and cheeses from Val Camonica. If you want to spend a nice day, I highly recommend you visit this farm.
