Cantina Francone

A very nice winery with a small museum. The explanations about the winemaking process during the tour and the wines during the tasting were clear and very interesting. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and kind. The wines were also great!

I am passionate about wine, I participate in numerous tastings throughout the year, sometimes I choose the winery by word of mouth, other times by the taste of a bottle that I happen to try, other times by chance. The tasting at Francone was given to me for my birthday and, looking back, I must say that it was a crazy gift. As I told the Francone brothers, I don't remember ever having a perfect tasting like this one; 7 wines, 7 absolute delights! Praise for how these people work and honour such a beautiful and exhausting profession is never enough. Their grandparents, their parents and, now, they allow us to enjoy their passion without limits. Thank you for the beautiful and exhausting visit, thank you for your wonderful wines!

Friendliness, professionalism, courtesy and friendliness were the setting for this splendid and refined tasting. Visit to the wineries and excellent wines accompanied by appetizers. A beautiful experience, definitely recommended for wine lovers.

The most enjoyable wine tour/tasting I’ve experienced! My daughter and I booked the “King and Queens” tour, which involved a fascinating glimpse into the history, methods, and equipment employed by Francone over the past 50+ years. Valeria was an incredible host/guide — highly knowledgeable and personable. The 5 wines we tasted (plus a bonus sixth) were all Barbarescos from their top labels (Gallina and Riserva) from various years, and one Barolo. Valeria spent a lot of time helping us understand the many factors that caused each of them to differ markedly from one another. We had the pleasure to meet with Fabrizio as well (one of the brothers who own/run Francone). Highly recommended!

The Francone winery in the Langhe is a true gem to discover. The visit was extremely interesting, with a knowledgeable guide who accompanied us through the history and winemaking tradition of the Francone family. The vineyards and the winery are enchanting, and the passion for wine is evident in every detail. What is particularly striking is the quality of the wines, all excellent and with a truly advantageous quality-price ratio. We had the opportunity to taste a variety of labels, all of the highest quality, but with very affordable prices compared to other wineries in the area. An experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to discover the authentic flavors of the Langhe. Highly recommended!

Great winery. Very personal and informative tour and wine tasting. We felt very well looked after. Very friendly. Our questions were answered in an interesting and detailed way. The team did a great job. And the quality of the wines was great!!!

A distant relative of the Francone family suggested we visit this winery. We are so glad we did! Not only was the staff knowledgeable, friendly and fun, the wine was amazing. Just wish we would have had more room in our suitcases to bring home more than we did. Meeting the owner was an added BONUS! Don't miss this experience.

Best Monday morning EVER, great wines, and Valeria explained everything thoroughly. Dolcetto and Barbera Superior were our favorites, but the grappa was a discovery too. We made some great purchases. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended!

We have visited Francone several times and love all their wines. We decided to organize a large group of family and friends for a tasting visit. The team did an amazing job in their beautiful wine tasting room downstairs. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the wines- especially as we left with our car boots full of Francone wines!

I was there with my boyfriend and a couple of friends, December/23 It was a lovely visit. Wine tasting was presented by Laura, super passionate girl that showed and explained us a lot of things. She added a personal touch, telling us about some special bottles she tasted with friends. I highly recommend the tasting and the tour. Ah! And they have good prices and discounts for quantity. Totally worthy.

Had a really great introduction to the wine and regions of Barolo and Barbaresco w Laura. She was really patient and covered wine history, locations and making. The place also housed historical tools used to make wine in the past! Highly recommend to visit this winery for tasting.

We had a great visit to the Francone Vineyard. Our host took us on a tour of the wine cellars, explaining the fine details of winemaking and aging. This was followed by a tasting where we could choose the wines we wanted to taste, all accompanied by expert commentary and explanations from our host. I highly recommend stopping at the Francone Vineyard.

Very well received and very good tasting. The young lady explained the wines to us very well and spoke about the region like a true enthusiast!

We made an appointment in advance and were given a perfect tour of the winery followed by a wine tasting. Valeria was very welcoming and took a lot of time for us. Every request and question was met and we had a great time at Francone. The wines are also absolutely first class. If you are nearby and interested in good wine, you MUST stop here.

We had a very interesting tour, during which we learned a lot about winemaking and the history of Francone. At the wine tasting that followed, we were able to try some wines - all very tasty! Valeria spent about 3 hours with us. She spoke perfect English and German! Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!
