Montemarano’s Giovanni Molettieri
The winery Giovanni Molettieri started production in 1999 in the famous Montemarano in the heart of Irpinia. The small village is has a long history in winemaking and is included in the DOCG area. The traditions are passed over from one generation to the next to enhance and celebrate the wine culture here. The staff works hard with love and passion for the terroir. It has achieved great success thanks to high-quality, balanced wines made with best controlled techniques and laboratory analysis by trained professionals.
Ideal natural conditions for viticulture
The spirit of the company is owed to the windy hills of Montemarano, where the stunning landscape shows the subtle balance between nature and humans. The village is on the Apennines’ Adriatic side, and the soil is rich in volcanic content. The soil works nicely with the microclimate of the region to allow the growth of ripe, fruity grapes for winemaking. The gradual ripening of grapes with slow harvesting gives a balanced, complex taste and structure to their wines.
Exciting wines made by the winery
