A Sunday among the splendid vineyards of the Casoli estate, given to me by dear friends for my 40th birthday. We were accompanied on this splendid day by Archimede, the owner's son, who, among historical anecdotes and stories full of passion for his vineyards, led us on a superlative tasting which took place in the ancient noble palace of their property. The strong link to the terroir shone through in every glass, from the Greco di tuff DOCG generously offered in various vintages with Taurasi, all accompanied by simple but genuine dishes. A common thread linked both the walk in the vineyard and the tasting and was the love for one's land, for one's vineyards... love that reaches directly to the hearts of those who listen to his words. I can only recommend a visit to the estate and wish you to spend a splendid day like the one we spent today.
