Cantina Petrelli, from Tobacco to Wines
Initially, in the mid-70s, the Petrelli Family cultivated tobacco followed by the cultivation of grapes, a few years later. With the decades of passion for wines, Paolo Petrelli, a winemaker, established Cantina Petrelli in 1984. Today, the two generations of the Petrelli family are handling all the work of the winery with passion and respect for nature. Giovanni, the son of Paolo, acquired the winery in 2000. Today, Giovanni, along with his sister, has brought many modern methods of wine production to the winery. In 1920, the family bought the 1850-built country house and summer residence – Tenuta Fondo Della Chiusa.
