Cantina Petrelli si trova nel centro del Salento, a breve distanza da Carmiano, bellissima provincia di Lecce. I vigneti, punteggiati da paesaggi lussureggianti, regalano una vista affascinante a chiunque visiti. La cantina dell'azienda, oggi dotata di moderne tecnologie, ha origini antiche e nobili. L'azienda dispone di una sala degustazione ben arredata, che in origine era la stalla dell'antica tenuta. L'azienda dispone anche di un'enoteca dove gli ospiti possono acquistare i propri vini.
Inizialmente, a metà degli anni '70, la Famiglia Petrelli coltivava il tabacco seguito, qualche anno dopo, dalla coltivazione della vite. Con decenni di passione per i vini, Paolo Petrelli, enologo, fonda la Cantina Petrelli nel 1984. Oggi, le due generazioni della famiglia Petrelli gestiscono tutto il lavoro della cantina con passione e rispetto per la natura. Giovanni, il figlio di Paolo, ha acquisito l'azienda vinicola nel 2000. Oggi Giovanni, insieme a sua sorella, ha portato in azienda molti metodi moderni di produzione del vino. Nel 1920 la famiglia acquistò la tenuta di campagna e residenza estiva costruita nel 1850 - Tenuta Fondo Della Chiusa.
La Cantina Petrelli coltiva una vasta gamma di vitigni che comprende Negroamaro, Primitivo, Malvasia e Verdeca. In alcuni vigneti si coltivano uve uniche di Fiano e Moscato. A wicker basket is equipped with everything you need to sit in their vineyard and enjoy savory products (which you can choose from) and two bottles of wine (even the one of your choice). The setting is very beautiful, and the products are of high quality. Excellent wines. Definitely a good solution for a slightly different aperitif, lunch, or dinner. Highly recommended.

Picnic in the vineyard was nothing short of amazing, I gave this experience to my wife for her birthday and we had a great time... excellent food and super wines. Highly recommended

Such a fantastic experience! Chiara was an amazing host and I have nothing but positive words to say. She was friendly, welcoming and very passionate about her and her family’s vineyard. We were able to choose from selection of red, white and rose wines and choose 2 full bottles to take with us on the picnic. We were also able to personalise our picnic basket and foods which was a nice touch. As a vegetarian I appreciated that all of the food offered could be veggie friendly. The site for the picnic is under some olive and fruit trees so even in 34 degree heat you can enjoy the scenery comfortably and explore the vines. We chose a white and red wine and both were very good and easy drinking. It is worth noting this is a picnic in a vineyard rather than a vineyard tour, however Chiara was more than willing to answer all of our answers about their wine and how it is produced. Overall a fantastic and memorable experience.

We received this 'picnic' as a gift and thought it was the usual wonderful tastings in the vineyard. In truth it was much better than that... a real picnic in the silence of the olive trees, in the peace of nature, drinking excellent wine (we drank the verdeca and took home the petricore) and tasting sweet delicacies. It was so good that we even fell asleep for a few minutes. An experience highly recommended!
