How the Riboli Winery was born

It all started in the 2000s when we bought this country house with 6 ha of land attached, which were planted with only one hectare of Moscato d'Asti Docg and nine rows of Barbera. Initially, the harvest was an opportunity to get together with relatives and friends during which the grapes were harvested and delivered to a large cellar. Over the years we then decided to delve into that fantasy world that is the production of wine and in 2009 we harvested and vinified our first Barbera grapes. Without experience, without any experts, just reading books.

In 2013 we come out with our first official vintage of Barbera d'Asti docg to which we have given the name "Mappale 61" From here a totally different new adventure started, we work alongside an oenologist and start creating our masterpieces one after the other. We have not made wine for 3 generations, this is the first but the passion, the precision and the desire to do make each of our customers be amazed by what we are and what we produce.

A young winery where studies, passion, professionalism and love of wine come first. Absolutely worth knowing.

Ah, what a beautiful morning! Accustomed to tastings that are often very formal and rigorous, at Cantina Riboli we met Roberto, the young owner, who accompanied us to the vineyards and explained to us with great enthusiasm the entire production process, from harvest to bottling. When you talk to him, you can feel his desire for research and innovation. The tasting concluded with an excellent Blanc de Noirs Classic Method sparkling wine and an elegant Barbera 41 that will stay with you even when you return. Well done, Roberto, let's toast to your future! But let's not forget Papa Marco, who started this adventure!

Wow, what an experience! 🤩 The gentle Roberto takes us into the vineyards and shows us the entire production process in a simple and clear way... and then the overwhelming finale: each glass is a liquid poem! A round of applause to the winemakers, artists of the earth and time, and a toast to us, worthy discoverers of this nectar!!!

A little gem in the hills of Aqui Terme. It's a fabulous drink! But the real added value lies with them: Marco and Roberto Riboli. A distillate of competence and passion that upholds the nobility of Italian craftsmanship in this area too. Well done!

Magnificent experience in an elite winery where you can breathe a family atmosphere, great commitment and professionalism, in search of continuous improvement and excellence. We tasted some excellent wines, starting with an excellent glass of bubbles, followed by a fantastic Barbera and a delicate Moscato. Roberto super! Highly recommended experience and one that we will repeat soon!
