Cantina Sociale Formigine Pedemontana, the Invigorating Taste of Lambrusco
The Cantina Sociale Formigine Pedemontana Winery is located on the dry soils of Modenese uplands and lower hillslopes, surrounded with mansions and ancient castles. The vineyards cover an area of 600 hectares, out of which 70% vines are for the production of Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro. Along with vineyards and cellar, the company has a wine tasting point and a functional wine shop, surrounded by the lush beauty of the countryside. Modena is also famous for producing unique traditional dishes, paired with tasty wines.
A Union of Wineries at Cantina Sociale Formigine Pedemontana
In 1920, a group of 49 local farmers established Cantina Sociale of Formigine. Eugenio Guastalla, a landlord of Jewish origin, was the first President of the winery and operated it until 1938. Today, approximate 380 partners work together with modern technology and dedication. In 2006, they merged the old winery with Cantina Pedemontana of Sassuolo and established Cantina Sociale Formigine Pedemontana.
