The Winery Successful in Exporting their Wines

Cantine De Falco was established by Salvator De Falco in the mid 20th century. Today, with the same dedication and commitment Salvator and Gabriele, his son, have reached a significant appreciation in the winemaking world where Primitivo and Negroamaro are the primary vines of wine production. The owners have also expanded their business in international winemaking markets and proudly selling their sweet wines to foreign wine-lovers.

Under the status of Salento IGP and DOC Salice Salentino, the wines of Cantine De Falco are based on a variety of top-class grapes. It includes unique Primitivo and Negroamaro, along with high-quality Malvasia Nera, Fiano, and Verdeca. All the wine production processes at the winery are carried out under the guidance of expert oenologists and connoisseurs. During the harvest season, along with the staff, Salvator and Gabriele pick the grapes manually so that the organoleptic characteristics of grapes remain intact. Cantine De Falco’s cellar has been renovated according to modern aspects of production. It consists of wooden oak barrels of different sizes, where they keep their wines for maturation. Their wines are filled with a unique flavour known as boisé, which they get from tannins in the barrels aromatic aldehydes.
