Cellar visited in spring 2018. The owner, Mr. Angelo, personally showed us all of Tufo and his own plots, with unique availability and sensitivity; telling us the history and past of Tufo. Greco di Tufo produces, but the peculiarity that makes the product unique is that the “Miniere” wine is produced from vines grown on abandoned sulfur mines, thus giving unique characteristics to the wine, as if it grew every year. The work on the vineyards is almost obsessive and personally, walking among the vineyards, I note the absolute absence of herbicide! Between one row and another, uncontaminated nature lives! Winery that produces wine as it once was: natural! Luckily there are still men who have a passion for this and believe in the greatness of the land where they were born.
