One of Brindisi's oldest wineries, Cantine Risveglio offers a taste of Puglia's rich viticultural heritage.
Perfect Conditions in the Heart of Puglia
Cantine Risveglio is nestled in the picturesque hills of Puglia, close to the historic Tancredi Fountain in the Province of San Vito, Brindisi. The region benefits from a unique microclimate, characterized by gentle summer breezes and mild winters, creating ideal conditions for grape cultivation.
A Rich History of Winemaking
Founded in 1958 by a group of local wine growers, Cantine Risveglio began as a cooperative of small farmers dedicated to producing quality wines. The winery saw significant growth in the 1960s, with the opening of a new facility by Antonio Di Giulio. By 1980, production had reached an impressive 150,000 quintals of grapes. In 1983, Fortunato Paloscia, a pulmonologist with a passion for winemaking, took ownership. Today, the winery is led by Giovanni Nardelli, an agronomist committed to maintaining its legacy.
Experience the Terroir of Puglia
At Cantine Risveglio, a diverse range of grape varieties is cultivated, including the fruity Negramaro and Susumaniello, alongside the rare Primitivo. The estate produces high-quality red, white, and rosé wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Puglia region. Each bottle tells a story of the land and the dedication of its growers, making it a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking authentic Puglian flavors.
