Perfect Conditions in the Heart of Puglia

Cantine Risveglio is nestled in the picturesque hills of Puglia, close to the historic Tancredi Fountain in the Province of San Vito, Brindisi. The region benefits from a unique microclimate, characterized by gentle summer breezes and mild winters, creating ideal conditions for grape cultivation.

A Rich History of Winemaking

Founded in 1958 by a group of local wine growers, Cantine Risveglio began as a cooperative of small farmers dedicated to producing quality wines. The winery saw significant growth in the 1960s, with the opening of a new facility by Antonio Di Giulio. By 1980, production had reached an impressive 150,000 quintals of grapes. In 1983, Fortunato Paloscia, a pulmonologist with a passion for winemaking, took ownership. Today, the winery is led by Giovanni Nardelli, an agronomist committed to maintaining its legacy.

Experience the Terroir of Puglia

At Cantine Risveglio, a diverse range of grape varieties is cultivated, including the fruity Negramaro and Susumaniello, alongside the rare Primitivo. The estate produces high-quality red, white, and rosé wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Puglia region. Each bottle tells a story of the land and the dedication of its growers, making it a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking authentic Puglian flavors.

Today was a special morning: a visit to taste the best wines produced by the Risveglio winery. We were kindly welcomed by Mr. Angelo Brandi, the company's Sommelier, an exceptional expert who brilliantly explained the history of the winery and made the tasting a moment of sharing knowledge about the different wines, some of which have been awarded and known both in Italy and abroad. The visit is highly recommended!

Highly recommended. Even though we showed up unannounced and they were very busy, Angelo took time for us. First he showed us around and showed us everything and then he did the tasting. It was a real experience; he did it with so much enthusiasm and joy and explained it very well.

How about 10 cum laude? That's an understatement. We had a tasting that is actually a journey through the history, customs and techniques common in the history of wine and the winery, an interesting journey full of information and indications that take you on a journey of fantastic flavour and meaning thanks above all to the perfect presentation by Angelo Brandi. Excellent wines and excellent sommelier. Highly recommended.
