Cascina Roccabianca is a certified organic winery located in the heart of Piedmont, Italy. Our primary focus is on revitalizing our vineyards, which include ancient vines planted in 1959. These unique grapes contribute to our diverse range of high-quality wines, showcasing the rich biodiversity of the region.
We have transformed neglected fields into productive areas for fodder and horticulture, prioritizing environmental stewardship. Given the hydrogeological risks in our area, we implement constant maintenance to manage rainwater effectively. Our approach to agriculture is rooted in permaculture principles, ensuring the land remains healthy and sustainable. We have renovated our historic stone farmhouse using eco-friendly materials, installed photovoltaic roofs for energy efficiency, and converted old stables into a welcoming cellar and tasting area. Our commitment to sustainability extends to our heating systems, which utilize biomass and advanced heat pump technologies. In 2023, we will also introduce rural hospitality through our new B&B, offering visitors a chance to engage with our farm and its practices.
Our cellars blend modern technology with traditional methods to create exceptional wines from our ancient vines. We prioritize good vineyard practices that respect seasonal rhythms and promote healthy vine growth without harmful substances. Our focus is on protecting the environment, ensuring product quality, and enhancing the natural flavors of our wines through conservative oenology.
Our dedication to careful vinification and a passion for research have led us to produce natural wines, including Barbera del Monferrato DOC and Monferrato Rosso. Our wines are certified organic since 2012 and vegan since 2014, reflecting our commitment to purity and authenticity. The year-long processing of our wines results in a true flavor profile, characterized by intense aromas and a harmonious taste.

My stay was nothing less than perfect! The pitch is above the house in absolute peace and quiet in the vineyards and you can enjoy the incredible view from there. The hosts are super helpful and friendly, thank you so much for the warm welcome. I also loved their farm with the animals and felt totally at ease. I would come back anytime!

A very secluded farmhouse in the hills of Monferrato in Alessandria, not far from the Ligurian border. You'll need a car to get there; the road is long, narrow, and uphill. It's well maintained and very quiet at night. If you're afraid of insects, never open the windows at night. A good country-style breakfast is served. They also produce wine from the surrounding vineyards.
