Cascina Sarìa: A Family Legacy in Piedmont

We went to Cascina Sarìa for a tasting a few weeks ago, booking online without knowing the winery. Excellent choice! Maura and Silvio were very kind, they guided us through the vineyards, told us the story of their company and ended with a tasting of their excellent wines. They dedicated over two hours (and there were only two of us that afternoon) and great attention to us. We left very satisfied with the welcome and the offer and we really recommend them to everyone!

Walking through the Langhe we decide to visit some wineries. We choose Neive as a stop because it is not yet well known. I search on Google and find Cascina Saria which has a rating of 5 out of more than a dozen reviews. What can I say... I confirm the maximum rating! Tasting with detailed explanation of the wines and with cutting board and bread and grissini. It was like listening to a fairy tale... really! You can see that those who work there love their job. Just think, I was so obsessed with the stories that I didn't even take a photo... and I'm so sorry because for us it was the best tasting we've ever had! Tour of the wine cellar and tasting. Once in the cellar, we receive a very friendly welcome and begin the tour. The tour of the vineyards enchanted me both for the atmosphere and for the splendid landscape thanks to the mild temperatures at the end of February. We then return to start the tasting of excellent wines, served with a good platter of cold cuts and cheeses. Barbera and Barbaresco top. Special mention goes to Mrs. Maura, who accompanied us with competence and kindness from the arrival to the purchase.

We had a lovely tasting, the hosts are so kind and passionate about the vineyard and wines, but so welcoming too! We had a lovely place of local meats and cheese with local figs as well. Great wines, great hosts, great prices Highly recommend a visit

Maura welcomed us, acted as a guide in the vineyards near the winery, and followed us in an engaging tasting where we tasted all their wines and compared ourselves. Maura explained to us the peculiarities, the various vintages, the climate that characterized the harvests... in short, very few times have I met people who transmit passion and knowledge like her!! Maura is one of the 4 brothers and sisters who run the winery, each of them has different skills, some in oenology, some in administration, some in the vineyard and they form a very strong team with their father as coach...We were lucky enough to have two chat with him who told us interesting anecdotes about the difficulties of the vineyard, the difficult moments after a hailstorm and the joys of perfect vintages!! The tasting has a more than honest price and is accompanied by a very respectable cutting board!! On the border between the Granda and Asti provinces, Cascina Sarìa, in addition to producing wines, offers the possibility of tasting its products (3 wines 10 euros 5/6 wines out of 20), the owners were very helpful and courteous and explained, before the tasting, what they produced and some historical/geographic information about the area. The cold cuts and cheese platter accompanied the range they offered very well. Prices of the bottles are more than good (among other things, over 50 euros of wines purchased, tasting is offered)
