A Legacy of Craftsmanship in Champagne Production
Champagne Mangin et Fils: A Family Tradition
Champagne Mangin et Fils has a rich history that dates back to the early 20th century. Founded by Gabriel and Fernande, who initially produced red wines, the winery began in their bistro, the social hub of the hamlet “Le Chêne La Reine” near Leuvrigny. As the Champagne industry grew, Gabriel shifted his focus from red wine to supplying grapes to prestigious Champagne houses, including the renowned Krug House.
The Evolution of Champagne Mangin et Fils
In the second generation, René and Andrée transitioned from red wine production to Champagne, establishing Champagne Mangin-Bertrand. The third generation expanded marketing efforts in the 1980s, leading to the creation of Champagne Mangin et Fils. Today, under the guidance of Cédric Mangin, the fourth generation, this family-run winery employs four dedicated staff members. Their wines are crafted exclusively from grapes grown in the Marne Valley, a region celebrated for its diverse terroirs and soils, which contribute to the unique character of each Champagne.
