Nel cuore di Farra d’Isonzo (GO), dove la terra si divide tra le zone DOP del Collio e dell'Isonzo, sorge la Società Agricola Colmello di Grotta. Non è solo una cantina, ma un racconto che si tramanda dagli anni '60 attraverso la visione e la sensibilità di tre generazioni di donne della famiglia Bennati, Bortolotto e Possati. Questo passaggio di testimone "in rosa" ha trasformato l’azienda in un vero laboratorio di sostenibilità d’eccellenza, culminato nel 2020 con la completa conversione al biologico dei suoi quattordici ettari di vigneto.
La filosofia che guida ogni gesto, dalla cura della vite fino alla bottiglia, è quella di un’armonia costante e meticolosa. Una costante ricerca che dà vita ad alcuni vini come la linea “Cence”: un omaggio alla purezza che in friulano significa, appunto, “Senza” e al Pinot Grigio nelle due versioni bianco e ramato.
La duplice identità territoriale, insieme a una selezione clonale attenta, si riflette in vini dalla personalità distintiva. In cantina, l’approccio è artigianale: l’acciaio preserva freschezza e tensione, mentre l’anfora in ceramica microporosa restituisce profondità, mineralità e trasparenza. L’utilizzo della solforosa è ridotto al minimo indispensabile, sempre entro livelli controllati, con l’obiettivo di ottenere vini autentici e salubri. Ogni etichetta è il risultato di un ciclo produttivo dove il dettaglio fa la differenza, portando nel calice vini sinceri, eleganti e profondamente legati ad un territorio unico.

Write a reviewThis morning, intrigued by the reality of Coldigrotta wines, I went to their farm. I was welcomed very kindly by the manager who accompanied me on an exhaustive tour of the vineyards and the small cellar. I also had the opportunity to taste their wines, which I found really pleasant. The experience was very engaging and interesting. The company impressed me a lot, I will return.

We stayed in this winery on the occasion of open cellars. Only positive feelings. Super hospitality, professionalism in telling the story of the company and then during the tasting we were pampered with the highest quality products that accompanied their wines. Excellent combination of tradition and innovation. Located in a context rich in charm and history right where the lands of Collio and Isonzo meet. An obsessive and respectful care starting from the land to the vineyards and ending with their wines left to rest depending on the variety in terracotta amphorae, others in ceramic ones specially made following the instructions of their fantastic winemaker Michele. A big thank you to Carlo, who with his kindness, pride and very high competence told us, politely and passionately and above all made us taste some of the wines of this fantastic company.
