Azienda Cantarutti Alfieri is a family winery located in San Giovanni al Natisone, a small town in the middle of the Rosazzo Hills in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The series of hillside vineyards and the abbey on top of the hill make up this beautiful estate. The winery is the vision of Alfieri Cantarutti come to life, established in the late sixties and producing some of the best Friuli Colli Orientali DOC wines in the region. The dedication and love for winemaking has been passed on to daughter Antonella and her husband Fabrizio, who presently manage the winery and every aspect of it.
Autochthonous Grape Varieties of Friuli
The winery cultivates its own grapes in their 56-hectare vineyard spread around the beautiful hills. They grow grape varieties such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Pinot Nero, Merlot and Pignolo to name a few.
