Located just a few kilometers from Asti in the picturesque municipality of Maretto, Crotin Winery is nestled in the heart of the Piemonte – Monferrato area. A Rich History and Sustainable Practices

Founded in 1897, Crotin Winery has a long-standing tradition of winemaking. The fertile soil, nurtured through sustainable practices like green manure and sheep manure, supports the growth of high-quality grapes. The vineyards are meticulously cultivated using the Guyot pruning method, ensuring optimal grape development. The estate features a charming farmhouse that offers a taste of local cuisine, all set in an eco-friendly environment surrounded by nature. The winery is proudly managed by four key members: Agronomist Federico Russo, talented cook Marcello Russo, and winemakers Corrado Russo and Cristiano Garella.

Crotin Winery produces a diverse range of wines, classified under DOC and DOCG labels. Their offerings include Barbera D’Asti, Freisa D’Asti, Piemonte Bussanello, Grignolino D’Asti, and Spumante Metodo Classico. The vineyard cultivates various grape varieties, such as Barbera, Freisa, Grignolino, Bussanello, and Malvasia Moscata, all while adhering to organic farming principles that eliminate the need for chemical fertilizers and herbicides.

In addition to wine, Crotin Winery features a multifunctional laboratory that crafts artisanal cold cuts, jams, honey, bread, and pasta, showcasing the best of local flavors.
