Best conditions for great wines
The region has some of the best natural conditions possible for the growth and cultivation of vines. Proper work and care in the vineyards allow for the growth of high-quality, fruity grapes. The main grape varieties in their vineyards are Riesling, Sauvignon blanc, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder, and Dornfelder. The best grapes are taken to the cellar to make their famous red, white, rose, sparkling, and dessert wines.
