Weingut Heinrich Spindler – An Organic Gem in the Heart of Pfalz

Weingut Heinrich Spindler is nestled in the picturesque village of Forst, surrounded by lush forests and stunning natural landscapes. The winery's vineyards thrive in renowned grand cru sites, including Ungeheuer, Pechstein, Kirchenstück, and Jesuitengarten. Specializing in organic wines, the winery produces a diverse range of Riesling, showcasing various ripeness levels.

The Spindler family's viticultural roots trace back to 1656, marking the beginning of Weingut Heinrich Spindler.

A Legacy of Growth and Expansion

Today, Markus Spindler oversees the winery, continuing a family tradition that began with Sontag Spindler's purchase of the Forster Kirchenstück vineyard. The winery was later divided into three branches: Weingut Heinrich Spindler, Weingut Lindenhof Eugen Spindler, and Weingut Wilhelm Spindler. In 1980, the family expanded their winemaking operations by acquiring additional vineyards from Forster Weingut Ferd Heinemann.

Riesling: The Crown Jewel of the Vineyard

Markus Spindler cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards, with 80% dedicated to high-quality Riesling. The remaining 20% features Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir. The winery emphasizes manual grape picking, ensuring that only the finest bunches are selected for soft pressing. In addition to exceptional white wines based on Riesling, the winery also produces high-quality red, sparkling, dessert, and rosé wines, all crafted within the Forst village appellation.

As a proud member of Culinary Heritage, Weingut Heinrich Spindler features a delightful wine restaurant, Gutsausschank Spindler. Guests can enjoy memorable wine and food pairings in an elegant garden setting, featuring seasonal and regional dishes that complement the winery's offerings.
