François and Marie-Therèse Subrin farm five hectares of land in the Sarcy village. The Domaine du Crêt de Bine estate sits on a high plateau. It exists between the Monts Beaujolais and the Monts Lyonnais in the Beaujolais appellation. They plant grapes on granite soils in their vineyard. The soul features deposits of feldspar and quartz.
Their vines are approximately 40 years old. François and Marie-Therèse follow organic farming and biodynamic agriculture for harvesting. To achieve grape crops with maximum health and ripeness, they limit the yields and harvest late into the growing season. Their wines feature mineral freshness and Gamay velvety matter. Their wines don’t tire the palate and also aren’t austere.
François, Marie-Thérèse, and Florence happily welcome guests to the domain. Visit the winery to share the passion of François who is an organic winemaker. Don’t forget to taste their fresh wines in their beautiful wine-tasting room. Their wines express their granite terroir and soil characteristics. Moreover, François, the winegrower, will explain to you the organic system. He will make you live with passion the joys but also the difficulty of his job. In the vineyard, he uses other products than the chemicals. He makes some preparations like horn dung, horn silica, infusions and decoctions with different plants (nettles, rosemary, comfrey, meadowsweet, horsetail….). Just come and ask him why he uses such preparations!
