Domaine de la Couvette, Family-Run Winery Over Five Generations
Domaine de la Couvette is located around 25 minutes from the beautiful tourist city of Lyon, which is in the South of the Beaujolais region in the village of Bully. This family started its winemaking story back in 1870, and its history spans over five generations of winemakers. Domaine de la Couvette is very proud of making quality wines in the conventional carbonic macerated style. For this, Gautier Marion uses his trusty, old concrete vats, which are also used for aging the wines as well.

Today, Gautier Marion, along with his father, runs the winery. The Couvette winery covers 11.3 hectares, which consists of 1.09 hectares of Chardonnay, and 5.49 hectares certified organic land famous of its clay-limestone and sandy structure. The vines at Domaine de la Couvette are nearly 50 years old. The winemakers demonstrate their passion and commitment by producing fully organic Beaujolais wines. They are bright, spicy, packed with ripe red fruit, and boasts earthy notes.
