Domaine Saint-Hilaire, a Great Winery in the South of France
The history of this estate traces back to Roman times. However, the winemaking activity really started when Baron Hilaire purchased it in 1817 and gave it the name Domaine Saint-Hilaire. It is located in the beautiful Hérault countryside between Molière’s village Pezenas and the sea at Mèze.
The Vineyard of Domaine Saint-Hilaire
The Domaine Saint-Hilaire vineyards cover an area of 175 acres, in three distinct parts, each with its own natural terroir. This allows Domaine Saint-Hilaire to grow a wide variety of grapes, including Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino, Chardonnay, Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon. They use organic techniques for harvesting and winemaking.
