Domaine Sick-Dreyer is located in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, in the village of Ammerschwihr less than 10 minutes from Colmar and just next to the medieval city of Kaysersberg. Winemakers for over 450 years, they have in fact written records showing that the Sick family already produced their own wine in 1563, they have always been committed to extracting the best of our terroirs and their vines.
However, a lot of things have improved since the horse they used to plow now retired. A brand new pneumatic press has replaced the old wooden pews. In 1966, after working for many years with his uncle René SICK, Pierre DREYER inherited the estate of his uncle and the vineyards of his parents. The Domaine Sick-Dreyer was born. But, in 2001, his son Étienne decided to take over and go in search of new markets for his Grands Vins Blancs. And, the tradition remains. At present, they cultivate 13 hectares of vines all around the village of Ammerschwihr, and they export to several countries like the United States, Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom or even Singapore. One thing, however, has never changed in the 450 “and some” years of our history the love they have for their terroirs and our wines.
They are open on all business days from Monday To Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm. Since they are closed on Sundays and holidays, you are advised to get the prior booking done if you are planning to visit this fantastic vineyard.
