Rich History at Domaine Sick-Dreyer
Domaine Sick-Dreyer is nestled in the picturesque village of Ammerschwihr, just a short drive from Colmar and the charming medieval city of Kaysersberg. With a winemaking legacy that dates back to 1563, the Sick family has been dedicated to producing exceptional wines for over 450 years. This commitment to quality reflects their deep connection to the unique terroirs and vines of Alsace.
Blending Tradition with Modern Techniques
While the winery has evolved over the centuries, its core values remain unchanged. The traditional horse used for plowing has been replaced by modern equipment, including a state-of-the-art pneumatic press. In 1966, Pierre Dreyer took over the estate from his uncle René SICK, marking the official establishment of Domaine Sick-Dreyer. His son, Étienne, took the reins in 2001, focusing on expanding their reach for their renowned Grands Vins Blancs. Today, the estate spans 13 hectares of vineyards around Ammerschwihr, with exports to countries like the United States, Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. Throughout its long history, Domaine Sick-Dreyer has maintained a passion for terroir and quality winemaking.

A wonderful experience and meeting with a winemaker who is passionate about his wines and the region. Each wine has its own story, which Etienne tells so well. His cellar invites you to spend some unforgettable moments, from the different stages to the making of his wines. We were able to experience the different tastes of the different wines and the happiness that brings. An experience that I would be delighted to repeat on future visits.
