King of the Grapes: Tinta de Toro

Elías Mora Crianza is one of my favorite wines and now it is even more so. We visited the winery last August. A small winery but with excellent wines. Catalina told us the history of the winery and explained how they make their magnificent wines. At the end of the visit she offered us a tasting of their different wines accompanied by a good sausage and we also tried a wonderful oil. The tasting area is glassed in with spectacular views of the vineyards surrounding the winery. An unforgettable visit that I would definitely not hesitate to repeat. An experience to frame!!! My family and I went on a recommended visit. When we arrived, we were greeted by Cata, who showed us the winery and explained the history in a sublime and entertaining way. He taught us about a job well done, how they do it and its results. The final wine tasting was spectacular, since the place where it is held has movie-like views, and the wines are peculiar and do not leave you indifferent, without a doubt the experience to recommend and repeat. Nothing better than a visit to a low-production but high-quality winery to discover the Toro designation of origin. Catalina made a very pleasant visit where she cleared up all our doubts in a super beautiful natural environment. We did the tasting in a beautiful area with large windows and views of the vineyards and it was wonderful, you can see that they take maximum care of all the details and when you leave you can't help but leave delighted by everything, also obviously by the quality of their wines. Woman-owned boutique winery on the Easter site of the Toro region. Victoria after experiences in Bordeaux and Rueda, in 2000 settled, in this place famous for Tinta di Toro grapes which has been spared from filoxera. During our 1h30’ visit, a very welcoming Catalina has explained us the history of the site and invited us to a four wine tasting in the beautiful and scenic sala de catas. Very interesting red wine production.
