Fratelli Moscone: A Legacy of Winemaking

Located in the heart of Piedmont, F.Lli Moscone is a winery renowned for its exceptional red and white wines. The estate produces wines under several prestigious appellations, including Dolcetto D’Alba, Barbera D’Alba, Nebbiolo D’Alba, Barolo, Barolo Bussia, Langhe Chardonnay, and Roero Arneis. Each appellation reflects unique viticulture practices, resulting in wines that showcase the distinct characteristics of this celebrated wine region.

Tradition Meets Innovation

Founded in 1877, Fratelli Moscone has a rich history of winemaking that spans nearly 150 years. The winery cultivates 18 hectares of vineyards in the picturesque Monforte d’Alba area, with 5 hectares located in the esteemed Bussia cru. Winemaking and aging take place in traditional Langa farms, where time-honored techniques blend seamlessly with modern innovations. This harmonious approach contributes to the elegance and character of Moscone wines, honed through generations of expertise.

Exceptional Wines Crafted with Care

In 2022, Cantina Moscone moved to La Morra for logistical and space reasons, ushering in a major renewal process. Significant investments were made in winemaking technology and a generational change began. Today, the company is led by Sara, supported by her cousin Marco, with the goal of producing wines that combine tradition and drinkability. Wines that never tire, but that entice you to take another sip, to discover the world contained within each bottle.

Wonderful experience with Sara! It is low season so we had a private tour of the property followed by wine tasting with cured meats and cheeses. Sara was very kind and answered the many questions we had! Good luck with your adventure :)

This is a wonderful family operated winery that should not be missed if visiting Monforte or the Barolo region in general. The tour and wine tasting was top notch and the wines are fantastic - both traditional and experimental. Marco Tessari made our experience visiting Moscone both interesting and memorable. We look forward to drinking Moscone when we return to the States and on our future trips to Piemonte.

Outstanding wines from La Morra and Monforte. The wines are profound and have great potential. The Arneis is a perfect aperitif wine, while Nebbiolo and Barbera are excellent accompaniments to food. The new location and the team invite you to a warm tasting in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We had a tasting with a platter at the winery's new headquarters in La Morra. We received a very warm welcome and were greeted by very friendly staff. We began with a tour of the cellar. The tasting then continued, which was relaxed and unhurried, allowing us time to appreciate the high quality of the wine. The sommelier was always available to answer our questions and was very knowledgeable about the products she presented to us. He explained everything with great passion, which also contagiously affected us. A highly recommended experience!

We visited the winery intrigued by the fame of Piedmontese wines, and thanks to the beautiful location, the timely and effective explanations of the very kind Allison and above all the wine tasting at the end of the tour, we fell madly in love with the wines produced by this winery! A visit highly recommended even for those who, like me, do not have a great knowledge of the subject, because it is exciting to touch with your own hands how much art and experience it takes to produce a wine appreciated all over the world.
