Rich Heritage of Fattoria del Colle

Fattoria del Colle, nestled in Trequanda, is situated in the renowned Chianti and Orcia DOC production area. This historic winery resides in the basement of a manor house built in 1592 by the Socini family, ancestors of Donatella Cinelli Colombini. The estate features a medieval hermitage, now a library showcasing vintage Brunello wines, alongside an ancient cellar and a barrel room where the Cenerentola DOC Orcia and the Supertuscan Drago e Otto Colombe wines mature. The production cellar is equipped with modern stainless steel and concrete fermentation vats, and its exterior has been recently updated with a corten panel that mimics a forest. A new room offers a video experience highlighting the vineyard's beauty.

Fantastic location with a very good restaurant and of course great wines. We stayed in an apartment with antique furniture that was very well kept. Breakfast was good and dinner even better. We had a nice tour of the grounds, including the house. The wine tasting was fun and delicious. The people were very friendly.

We liked it very much as for an agriturismo facilities we above average. We liked particularly the wine tasting and the meal in a nice setting outside with wine. The wines are interesting because they include Montalcino denominations. The hospitality was excellent.

Tuscan agriturismo at its best! An original vineyard experience without the posh nonsense. If you look for great wines and simple original apartments, this is the place to go! Signora Donatella seems to save a great tradition by very carefully inviting guests. Thanks to the crew!

The Fattoria was amazing, all the staff were very friendly, helpful and respectful. The restaurant was my favorite! It's quiet, there are two well-maintained swimming pools, the vineyard tours and wine tastings were great! We also did a cooking class with Patricia, it was fun! The only downside was that the room had no air conditioning but a ceiling fan which made a lot of noise even though it was 37°C 😅 Other than that, it was a perfect stay!

We just returned from a five-day vacation at this farmhouse. Our stay there with the family was a wonderful experience, characterized by peace, relaxation, and the excellent welcome from all the staff.
